Achieving glowing, healthy skin often feels like a challenge, especially with environmental stressors, aging, and skin concerns like uneven texture or dullness. Sophie at Inked Beauty Brighton has recently added both of these services to help her clients with their skin goals.

How Microneedling Works
Microneedling uses tiny needles to create controlled micro-injuries on the skin’s surface. These small punctures stimulate the body’s natural healing process, encouraging collagen and elastin production. Collagen is a key protein that supports skin structure, firmness, and elasticity. Microchannels created in the skin allows for better absortpion.
We utilise Cliniccare products with a selection of serums to address various skin concerns. Choose from our specialised formulations designed to refresh, hydrate, and rejuvenate your skin.
CLINICCARE EGF Glow: Targets hyperpigmentation, age spots, and sun damage for a brighter, more even skin tone.
CLINICCARE EGF Refresh: A rejuvenating cocktail that provides intensive hydration and anti-wrinkle effects, boosting elasticity and restoring moisture.
CLINICCARE EGF Tight: Formulated for skin rejuvenation, lifting, and firming. It features a "Botox-like" effect using Hexapeptide-8 (Argireline) and DMAE.
A course of 3 treatments is recommended. 4 weeks between treatments for optimal results.
What Are Superficial Skin Peels?
Superficial skin peels also known as chemical peels involve applying a mild acid solution to the skin to exfoliate the outermost layer. This process removes dead skin cells, revealing fresher, brighter skin underneath. The acids used are gentle enough to avoid deep irritation but strong enough to improve skin tone and texture.
Common acids in superficial peels include glycolic acid, lactic acid, and salicylic acid. These ingredients help with acne, uneven pigmentation, and minor wrinkles.
Main CLINICCARE Peel Types:
Glow Peel: Targets hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone, and sun damage (pH 1.7).
Pure Peel: Ideal for acne-prone skin, oily skin, and reducing blackheads/improving texture (pH 2.4).
Refresh Peel: Focuses on anti-aging, lifting, and reducing fine lines by stimulating collagen.
Key Features and Benefits:
Superficial Action: They target the upper layers of the epidermis, making them gentle compared to deeper, more aggressive peels.
Customisable: Practitioners can blend the peels to adjust concentration and pH for specific skin types.
Minimal Downtime: Suitable for quick, rejuvenating treatments without significant, long-lasting skin shedding.
Course Recommended: A course of 4-6 treatments (every 1-2 weeks) is usually recommended for optimal, lasting results.

What to Expect During and After Treatments
Microneedling sessions typically last around 60 minutes. Needle depth is changed for different areas of your skin. You may experience mild redness or sensitivity afterward, similar to a sunburn. This usually fades within a 1-3 days.
Superficial chemical peels can sting and be itchy during application however this is only for a short period as the actual peel is only on the skin for 2-7mins. It can cause light peeling and redness that can a day or two, however often less.
No numbing is used for treatments.
Following treatment, it’s important to follow the advice of your practioner. Avoid harsh cleansers, direct sun exposure, and heavy makeup until skin fully recovers.
Final Thoughts on Radiant Skin
Microneedling and superficial chemical peels offer effective ways to improve skin texture, tone, and overall appearance. When combined with professional skincare products, these treatments unlock the skin’s natural ability to renew and glow. For those seeking noticeable improvements without invasive procedures, this combination provides a balanced approach to skincare.
